Denver’s Most Expensive Home in 2022

A sprawling property in the Mile High City was Denver’s most expensive listing in 2022 with an asking price of $28.88 million. The compound in Clearview Farm offers 15 acres in the heart of Cherry Hills Village, a home rule municipality.

This magnificent home has a 1.5-acre pond and unobstructed mountain views. The five- bedroom home includes eight bathrooms spread throughout 13,700 square feet. The two-story main house is situated on the property’s highest point offering sweeping views of the majestic Rocky Mountains, the lush foliage, and the spacious property.

The layout was conceived as four connected barns. In addition to being physically and financially enormous, the pastoral retreat also boasts agriculture-zoned fields and equestrian facilities, 22-foot ceilings, a side deck with retractable sunshades, a 75-foot lap pool, an elevator, a driveway snowmelt system, indoor parking for six cars, and a steam room.

There is also a two-bedroom, one bath, 2,620-square-foot guest house just down the hill from the main house. The estate has its own water feature-lined entryway and is adjacent to the pond.

Obviously, there are very few people who can afford such a home, but are there any homes for sale in Denver that fall in the “affordable” category? According to Westword, it is possible to find a cheap house, as long as you’re not scared off by phrases such as “Just needs some love,” or “as is” or “main sewer line needs to be replaced.”

Back in January 2020, there were multiple homes available within the Denver city limits for under $250,000. But those days are over. Three years later, the cheapest abode up for grabs was listed at $265,000, according to Westword’s roundup of the least expensive homes for sale in the Mile High City. At this writing, the least expensive detached house is currently listed at $290,000.

Buyers willing to look outside the city limits have more options. But those looking to stay within Denver’s borders and beneath the $400,000 mark may have to renovate or ease off a bit on their home buying prerequisites.
